About BirdLife's European Division
BirdLife has an office in Brussels: the European Division. The office was established in 1993, reflecting the increasing importance of European Union actions on the environment.
It is responsible for coordinating the work of the European Partnership and the BirdLife Task Forces on European Union policy issues. It also represents the BirdLife Partnership in the European Institutions. The office also advises BirdLife Partners on issues of EU policy, disseminates relevant information from specialised Brussels information sources to them and organises training on EU policy issues.
