The European Division of BirdLife International in Brussels is looking to recruit an:

Office Manager (part time 22hrs per week)

Overall purpose of the job: To provide effective, efficient and confidential secretarial and administrative support to all staff of the European Division and to run the day-to-day business of the European Division.

The successful candidate will: Have at least two years secretarial and office management experience in Brussels, or three in another country. Be highly organized and be computer literate. Be fluent in English and French.

Salary indication: 2200 Euros gross/month (pro-rata if part time), holiday allowance and 13th month, as well as pension scheme and benefits.

Non paid Internships (Volunteering)

The European Division of BirdLife International in Brussels is looking to recruit an:

Administration & Communication Intern


Description: We are seeking an Administration & Communication Trainee for a minimum period of three months. The Internship will not be paid, but a reimbursement for travel costs within Brussels and lunches will be offered.

Tasks:

  • Providing administrative support to the Director and the Communication Team.
  • Providing support to the Communication Team in keeping and finalizing archives, updating the picture database and in creating an audiovisual library.
  • Maintaining and updating the contacts database of the European Division
  • Assisting with matters related to the proper functioning of the office (reception, mail, organizing database/mailing lists, maintaining the office filing system, etc.)
  • Help with the organization of meetings and workshops.

Profile:

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent computer skills, knowledge of Access and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced and multicultural environment.
  • Good command of English and French.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining databases is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of the EU institutions is an asset.
  • Strong personal motivation and interest in the environment.
